The site is hosted by LWS (Ligne Web Services), a société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of 500 000 €, 10 rue Penthièvre, 75008 Paris, France — RCS Paris 851 993 683 — www.lws.fr. The servers that host this site are located in France, and therefore within the European Union.

4. Policy on the processing of the data collected on the site

Data controller

CHAPPEL Sébastien is the data controller for the data collected on this website. You can contact us at chappel.sebastien@skynet.be with any question concerning this privacy policy.

Nature of the data collected

While you browse, our server (hosted by LWS) stores server logs. This mainly consists of recording your IP address and the history of your requests (a page visit, for example).

Users may provide their personal data by making a request through the contact form or through the newsletter sign-up form:

  • contact form: surname and first name, email address, telephone number (optional), salon concerned and message;
  • newsletter form: surname and first name, email address, telephone number (optional) and preferred salon.

The IP address and the date of submission are recorded with each form, for security purposes and to prevent automated submissions.

Reason for collecting the data

The purpose of the server logs is to detect intrusion attempts and anomalies, in order to ensure the security of the IT system.

The information the user enters in the contact form is used solely to respond to their request. Where the request is a commercial one, and with the explicit consent of the data subject, the personal data may also be used to send mailings on subjects related to the business (a new service, taking part in events…). The personal data are used only for these purposes.

Users who complete the newsletter sign-up form will receive emails about the business. The purpose of these emails is to present new information or special offers.

Every form submitted is sent by email to Coiffeur Chappel. A backup copy is also kept on the site’s server, in an area that cannot be accessed from the internet, so that no request is lost in the event of an email problem.

Legal basis

The processing of the data submitted through the forms is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), obtained when you send the form, and on the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR), for example to arrange an appointment.

Who processes the data collected?

DIREXION (the company that manages the site, processor) and LWS (the hosting company, processor) are the recipients of the server logs for the purpose described above. Access to the logging system is secure and controlled. LWS is a processor and warrants that it has put in place all the technical and organisational measures to protect the data, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

CHAPPEL Sébastien is the recipient of the information collected through the contact form and the newsletter form, for the purposes described above. This information passes through the email service that delivers the site’s emails.

The forms are protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile: on that basis, your IP address and technical information about your browser are sent to Cloudflare, Inc. in order to check that the submission is not automated (Cloudflare privacy policy).

Your data are neither sold, nor rented, nor passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.

User consent

Every user is clearly informed of the uses that may be made of their personal data at the time they provide it, as described in this privacy policy.

Retention period

  • The server logs are kept for a period of 24 months.
  • The data collected through this site’s contact form are kept for a period of 3 years. The backup copy kept on the server is deleted automatically at the end of that period.
  • The newsletter form data are kept until the person decides to unsubscribe from the newsletter mailings. An unsubscribe link is always provided in every email.

Rights of data subjects

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the following rights over the data that CHAPPEL Sébastien collects about them:

  • right of access;
  • right to rectification;
  • right to erasure (right to be forgotten);
  • right to restriction of processing;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to object, and right to withdraw consent at any time.

For any request concerning these rights, users can send an email to chappel.sebastien@skynet.be, stating the subject of their request. CHAPPEL Sébastien undertakes to reply to that request within 15 working days.

For security reasons, for every request relating to these rights, CHAPPEL Sébastien will carry out a check on the identity of the person submitting the request, and will reply only after a positive identification.

Competent data protection authority

If you consider that the processing of your data is not compliant, you can lodge a complaint with the Autorité de protection des données (Data Protection Authority, APD), which in 2018 took over from the Commission de la protection de la vie privée:

5. Cookies

This site uses no advertising, audience measurement or tracking cookies. No third-party tracker is placed when you simply view the pages.

The Cloudflare Turnstile security module, present only on the forms of the contact page, may place a technical identifier that is strictly necessary for detecting automated submissions. This type of cookie is exempt from prior consent within the meaning of Article 129 of the Belgian Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications.

You can configure your browser at any time to refuse cookies. Refusing the Turnstile technical cookie may, however, prevent the forms from being sent; in that case, call your salon directly: Auderghem on 02 672 40 86, Ixelles on 02 647 86 46.

The maps on the site are images stored on our server: they do not call on any external mapping service. The “Directions” buttons open Google Maps, Waze or Maps in a new visit, subject to the terms of those services.

Photographs

The photographs of the salons belong to Coiffeur Chappel. The photographs illustrating the services come from the Unsplash image library and are used in accordance with the Unsplash licence. They do not necessarily show work carried out in our salons.

Maps

The maps of Brussels and of the salon neighbourhoods are derived from OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors), available under the Open Database License (ODbL). As OpenStreetMap requires, the credit “© OpenStreetMap” also appears in the corner of each map.

Typefaces

The Jost and Bodoni Moda typefaces are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and are hosted directly on this site, with no call to a third-party service.
